Based in an ancient and historic building near the Welsh Bridge in the medieval town of Shrewsbury, Ironcraft is dedicated to the supply and installation of cooking ranges, woodburning stoves and heaters, fireplaces and character lighting.

Our philosophy is to ensure that our customers purchase exactly the right products for their homes and that they are all fully satisfied with their installations. We therefore concentrate not only on our customers’ requirements at the planning stage, but also on the high quality of our installations and after sales servicing. With woodburners we even go as far as recommending local suppliers of sustainably-produced timber, dried to the correct moisture content.

Personal service and customer satisfaction are our watchwords with all our installations as we know that  effective and efficient heating, cooking and lighting are fundamental to the harmonious running and enjoyment of all homes, whatever their location and size. Getting it right first time is the prime objective with all Ironcraft installations.

We offer a huge range of cookers, stoves and heaters powered by wood, biomass, electricity, coal, gas and oil and our company has generations of experience in these fields. We even offer a solar option! At our premises in Shrewsbury we have a working example of a Rayburn range and we hold regular free cookery demonstrations to ensure that our customers are fully aware of the culinary possibilities of this traditional heat source. These are informal and friendly occasions for fifteen or so guests at a time and customers are welcome to bring along their own favourite Rayburn recipes for others to try.

Our after sales servicing includes regular maintenance checks on installations and the supply of spares such as fireproof rope, glass for woodburner doors, fire cement and other heatproof products such as specialist paints and varnishes. We also have a remote-control camera for easy inspection of your chimneys to let you know when it is time to call in the sweep!

We stock spares for Jetmaster and Baxi products and we are main agents for Charnwood Stoves. We also supply Stovax, Gazco and Broseley stoves plus Gallery, Valor, Gazco, Kinder, Flavel, Dimplex, Olde English and Caterhams fireplaces. We can also design and install customised fireplaces and the materials we work with  include cast iron, marble, limestone, granite and slate. We stock complementary equipment for fireplaces including mantles, hearths, fire baskets, companion sets and hoods. Custom-made ironwork for fireplaces is also a speciality at Ironcraft. This service extends to the production of cast iron accessories and equipment for all areas of your home and garden – we have even been asked to produce a spiral staircase in cast iron and this was a commission which we were happy to complete.

When visiting our premises in Shrewsbury please remember that your choice of cookers, ranges, stoves, woodburners and fireplaces extends way beyond those on display at Ironcraft through our association with  sister company Derwas of Welshpool, who have an even greater number of such products in stock - all of which can be delivered to your home at no extra charge.
